Engineers Elevators
The first form of elevator. Counterweight, pulley, cabin. Before hydraulic lifts it was the only way to install elevators as we observe in older buildings. There is also a smaller cabin due to the need for more space for the elevator components inside the shaft. The old type mechanical elevators did not have good quality of movement so when hydraulic appeared, their installation stopped. In recent years, improving the ride quality of mechanical lifts has made huge strides and one would dare to talk about perfect ride quality despite the high speeds they can achieve.
Advantages:
- Higher speeds
- Smoother operation
- Less installed power
- Ideal for long distances
- stopping accuracy
- Elevator without engine room
