Hydraulic Lifts
Hydraulic lift installations were initially started to lift loads and then expanded to passengers, covering a very important part of the total facilities. In Greece the percentage of hydraulic lifts is overwhelming, about 80%. Hydraulic lifts are a great solution for short and medium distances.
In this way, and because of the few high-rise buildings, the majority of hydraulic lifts in Greece are explained.
Advantages:
- Flexibility in choosing the location of the machine room
(In recent years, in mechanical lifts there is the possibility of mechanical lifts without machine room, Machine Room Less MRL, but increasing the cost)
- Shorter installation time compared to the mechanical lift
- Lower cost installation
Increased usable space for the cabin relative to the mechanical lift
